Pubs&Clubs: Spice Club
Liquors, coffee and music - that is what Spice is all about, but... we're talking about good liquors and good music. (The coffee is classical espresso or cappucino) The club is located in the very heart of Bucharest center... :) Yeah, you heard us right, it is on Calea Victoriei 21-23 sharing walls with the Bucharest Police HDQ.You'll only get to like it if you skip the unpleasant part with the doormen on the ground floor (the building is home to company offices and stuff so it is guarded) who will frowningly ask you about your interest in the precincts. You just... tell him the truth :) The first floor is where the club sprawls... I'm telling you this place is huge! Most certainly it used to be a restaurant or party-hall years ago during communism.

Today it looks very nice, simple decorations, wooden furniture, cozy green walls and the best: huge windows facing the Boulevard. Now... I know it sounds strange but we don't see something like this very often. To us club is generally synonymous with compact, hermetically closed bunker. :) No, seriously we usually go clubbing in places were you have zero-visibility, between smoked walls displaying vintage posters and photos. This is new, and we like it.
The bartenders are nice, the music is great... You can enjoy live concerts, jazz evenings or stand-up comedies on Sundays. Sometimes the club is rented for private parties, the place is just perfect for something like this, and then it is a perfect and really enjoyable disco. And you know what is really surprising, considering the location and thhe atmosphere? It is curiously cheap - the coffee is 5 RON, beer 6.5, cocktails are 15 - 18 RON and yes you can spend everything you have on a bottle of Don Perignon - 800 RON. :)
